Handhabungstechnik GmbH, Regensburg, in Series B financing round by S-Refit,
Regenburg, and KfW, Bonn. The financing of an seven-figure amount, which is not
otherwise specified, shall be used for further expansion of the business.
Zimmermann & Schilp is an innovative Spin-Off out of the Institute for Machine Tools and
Industrial Management (iwb) of the Technical University Munich (TUM). The
company develops, manufactures and sells handling-components, systems and
equipment based on the ultrasound-air-bearing technology. On May 14, 2009, the
founders have been awarded the Bavarian Founder's Prize (Bayerischer Gründerpreis) 2009 in the
category Start-Up.
